Shytoshi Kusama Unveils Vision for Shiba Inu and Roles of SHIB Tokens
In a recent podcast, Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer behind Shiba Inu, revealed the project’s future vision and the roles that each token – SHIB, BONE, LEASH, and the upcoming TREAT – will play in driving ecosystem growth.
The most significant announcement is the introduction of the “Shib Network State,” a digital entity that aims to become a fully-fledged decentralized governance model. This concept draws inspiration from the Montevideo Convention’s criteria for statehood, which defines a state as an established government within a territory with sovereignty and recognized by other states.
According to Kusama, this vision is not just about being a meme coin but rather a significant step towards creating a digital infrastructure that supports cryptocurrency transactions and expands beyond them. Shiba Inu is building a metaverse and developing domain assets like “shib.com” which will serve as a virtual homeland for the community.
Furthermore, Kusama emphasized the importance of SHIB in governing the community, stating that it ensures active grassroots engagement. BONE, on the other hand, drives technological advancements and innovation within the ecosystem. LEASH is responsible for managing the rules and ensuring the overall growth of the system, making it more robust.
The project has been gaining traction lately, with increased market activity observed despite price fluctuations. SHIB’s price dropped 5.59% to $0.00002128 due to a broader market downturn. BONE saw a decline of 7.09%, settling at $0.4445, while LEASH decreased by 4.32%, reaching $255.16.
In addition, Kusama unveiled the upcoming launch of TREAT token, scheduled for January 14th. As per Kusama’s explanation, this token will focus on fostering innovation and marketing efforts within the network, ensuring that Shiba Inu moves beyond its initial meme-based reputation.
With this ambitious vision and new roles for each token in place, it appears that Shiba Inu is gearing up to make a significant impact in the crypto space.
