A recent survey by Bitwise Asset Management, conducted in collaboration with VettaFi, reveals a profound shift in the sentiment of U.S.-based financial advisors toward cryptocurrency investments. The poll found that a substantial 56% of financial advisors were more inclined to invest in digital assets following Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
Interestingly, the percentage of financial advisors allocating crypto to client portfolios doubled year-over-year, rising from 11% to 22%. This remarkable surge signals a turning point for cryptocurrency, as it becomes increasingly accessible and widely accepted by mainstream financial institutions.
New Investment Vehicles
Furthermore, the survey highlights advisors’ growing interest in diversifying their crypto exposure. Crypto equity ETFs (22%) and diversified crypto index funds (19%) were among the most preferred investment vehicles for 2025. This increased appetite for alternative investment options suggests that cryptocurrency is poised to play a more significant role within traditional financial portfolios.
Mainstream Adoption
As it becomes easier to access, with enhanced regulatory clarity, this could accelerate mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency into financial advisory services and alter investment dynamics across the board.
