New ‘Escape From Tarkov’ Cheat Can Freeze Your PC And Max Out CPU
A new type of cheater has emerged in Escape From Tarkov, and it’s causing quite a stir among the game’s community. This particular cheat is capable of freezing your PC and maxing out your CPU, leaving many players feeling frustrated and helpless.
According to reports, these cheaters have started making strange noises over the in-game VOIP system, which somehow causes an unusual increase in load on the CPU. This increased load eventually leads to a game crash, allowing the cheater to gain an advantage over other players.
The reason behind this issue is currently unknown, but some fans speculate that it may be related to the recent Unity 2022 engine upgrade that was rolled out as part of the last Escape From Tarkov wipe. However, there’s been no official statement from Battlestate Games regarding the matter.
What makes this cheat even more concerning is its ability to combine with another exploit that allows cheaters to move at an incredible speed while lying prone on the floor or just below the surface of the map. This renders them almost untouchable and enables them to quickly move around the map, crashing out all other players in the lobby.
Some streamers who have powerful PCs have managed to take down these cheaters, but it appears that most ordinary players don’t stand a chance against this exploit. As a result, many are likely to shift their focus towards the game’s PvE mode to avoid them entirely.
Given Battlestate Games’ typical reluctance to discuss cheats and in-game issues, it’s no surprise that they haven’t commented on this matter yet. However, with the flea market closure set to be extended into next week, some players may choose to take matters into their own hands by switching to PvE mode temporarily.
It remains to be seen how long this exploit will continue to affect the community and whether Battlestate Games will finally address it.
