Adobe’s new AI tool can edit 10,000 images in one click
Adobe is launching a new generative AI tool called Firefly Bulk Create, which enables users to quickly edit large batches of images with just a single click. This powerful feature allows for massive time savings and increased productivity, especially for professionals who need to work on numerous images simultaneously.
The “Remove Background” tool within the Firefly web app is particularly useful for product marketers, allowing them to remove backgrounds from images in seconds rather than spending hours doing so by hand. Not only can users upload image files directly to the app or via Dropbox, Adobe Experience Manager, but they can also specify a custom background replacement with a predefined image or color (using HEX codes).
Firefly Bulk Create’s “Resize” tool is less impressive, struggling to effectively resize photographs while producing decent results for abstract images. The feature does offer preset options for popular ad banner sizes and platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, but the demo displayed did not inspire confidence in its abilities.
Despite these limitations, Adobe Firefly Bulk Create has the potential to revolutionize the way designers work with images. By automating labor-intensive tasks, creatives can focus on more creative endeavors while saving hours of manual editing time. The tool’s capabilities will likely be a huge draw for those who need to edit large batches of images quickly.
In related news, Adobe is also releasing new developer APIs that will enable the creation of digital avatars using text descriptions and voice recordings, among other features.
