Nvidia releases more tools and guardrails to nudge enterprises to adopt AI agents
Nvidia is releasing three new NIM microservices to help enterprises bring additional control and safety measures to their AI agents. These new NIM services aim to prevent AI-generated harmful or biased outputs, keep conversations focused on approved topics only, and prevent AI agents from attempting to “jailbreak” – the removal of software restrictions.
These new microservices are part of Nvidia’s NeMo Guardrails, an open-source collection of software tools and microservices designed to help companies improve their AI applications. According to Nvidia, these guardrails provide a more tailored approach to securing complex AI workflows by applying multiple lightweight, specialized models.
Nvidia’s move comes as AI adoption in the enterprise space appears to be slower than initially predicted. While some experts have suggested that there could be over a billion AI agents running off of Salesforce alone within the next year, recent studies suggest that only about 25% of enterprises are currently using or expect to adopt AI agents by 2025. The same study predicts that around half of all enterprises will begin using AI agents by 2027.
This move may be an attempt by Nvidia to make adopting AI agents seem more secure and less experimental for enterprises.
