
Global leaders to gather in Davos to explore blockchain and digital asset innovations
As the world’s leading industry association for blockchain and digital assets, the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) is set to convene a gathering of influential stakeholders from various sectors, including blockchain, digital assets, technology, and government. The event, titled Blockchain Central Davos, will take place in Davos, Switzerland from January 20-23, 2025.
The GBBC’s annual Blockchain Central Davos has become a premier platform for thought leaders to converge and explore the vast potential of blockchain and digital assets. This year’s edition promises to be no exception, as it brings together a diverse range of industry heavyweights, regulators, and government officials to discuss pressing issues and opportunities in the space.
Notable speakers have been confirmed from prominent organizations such as Pearson, Hedera, Ripple, Hashed, Chainalysis, Ava Labs, Taxbit, Zodia Custody, Polymesh, Filecoin Foundation, Steptoe, Digital Token Identifier Foundation (DTIF), Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA), CAG, DAIS, The World Bank, Citi, UN World Food Programme (WFP) Innovation Accelerator, and many more.
Government officials and regulators from around the world have also been invited to participate in the event. These will include representatives from the Government of Liechtenstein, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (U.S. CFTC), and the Government of Telangana.
Launched in Davos in 2017, GBBC has grown exponentially since its inception. The organization now boasts over 500 institutional members and 301 global ambassadors spanning 117 jurisdictions and disciplines. Sandra Ro, CEO at GBBC, emphasized the importance of public-private collaboration in driving blockchain innovation globally.
