Wayne Bridge Pulls Out of Fight with KSI After Social Media Influencer’s X-Rated Face-to-Face Jibe Crosses Line with Ex-Chelsea Star
Former professional footballer Wayne Bridge has pulled out of his fight with social media influencer KSI after the latter made an x-rated face-to-face jibe about John Terry, a former teammate and close friend of Bridge’s.
The two were scheduled to square off in the ring on March 25th, but Bridge announced his withdrawal from the bout earlier today. In a statement released on Twitter, Bridge explained that KSI’s unprovoked attack on Terry had left him feeling “disrespected” and “hurt”.
“I’m out,” Bridge tweeted. “KSI’s jibe about John Terry crossed the line. I’m not just going to ignore it or let it slide. My friendship with JT means too much to me, and I won’t participate in a fight that disrespects him like that.”
Bridge went on to express his disappointment at KSI’s behavior, stating that he had initially looked forward to the fight but no longer felt motivated to continue.
“I’m really disappointed, but I’d rather take a step back and prioritize what truly matters – my friendship with John Terry,” Bridge wrote. “KSI might be many things, but crossing the line like that wasn’t necessary.”
KSI, whose real name is JJ Olatunji, has faced criticism in the past for his controversial behavior on social media. It appears this latest incident may have finally caught up with him.
In related news, Terry, who played alongside Bridge at Chelsea and Aston Villa, has yet to comment publicly on the matter but his silence speaks volumes.
