Former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan suggests Utility idea for $TRUMP
Balaji Srinivasan, the former Chief Technology Officer of Coinbase, has recently shared his thoughts on how Donald Trump can capitalize on the success of his newly launched memecoin, $TRUMP. In a recent tweet, Srinivasan outlined several utility ideas that could potentially give the coin a lasting impact.
According to Srinivasan, Trump could use his massive following and media presence to build a strong community for the meme-coins. He suggested an airdrop of $100 in locked $TRUMP tokens to Trump’s 77 million voters, which would cost him $7.7 billion. However, this could be seen as a win-win situation for Trump, his political career, and his supporters.
Srinivasan believes that memecoins are driven by the strength of their community and real-world use cases. He emphasized that if Trump efficiently leverages his over 100 million followers, consistent media coverage, and status as the president of the United States, $TRUMP could become the king of memecoins.
However, Srinivasan also cautioned that Donald Trump’s involvement in crypto could be used by political opponents to level allegations of conflict of interest. He noted that previous presidents have leveraged their positions for personal financial gain, and warned that any pro-crypto stance taken by the administration could raise suspicions about an undue influence on regulatory policies.
Nonetheless, Srinivasan sees potential benefits from Trump’s involvement in crypto, including the possibility of implementing pro-crypto policies and potentially launching a strategic Bitcoin reserve.
