Graham Grills FBI Nominee Over “Disgusting” And “Corrupt” Crossfire Hurricane Probe
During a confirmation hearing for Kashyap “Kash” Patel, the President-elect’s pick to lead the FBI, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) grilled him over his views on the Trump-Russia probe, specifically the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.
Graham expressed his disgust at the handling of the probe, calling it “one of the most disgusting episodes in FBI history.” He stated that the investigation was led by corrupt individuals who sought to take down President Donald Trump.
Patel agreed with Graham’s assessment, stating that he believed the investigation was corrupt and that some of the evidence presented during the inquiry was not reliable.
Graham also criticized the FBI for ignoring evidence and making up new information to further their goals. He believes this behavior led to a lack of trust in the agency, which is why Patel has been chosen to lead it.
The Senator emphasized that without Crossfire Hurricane, Patel would not be sitting in his position today.
