Chilling audio reveals final moments before Philadelphia plane crash: ‘We have a lost aircraft’
A chilling audio recording has emerged, revealing the frantic final moments of a small plane’s takeoff that ended in a deadly crash in Philadelphia on Friday night.
According to reports, the Learjet 55 aircraft was operating as a medical transport mission for Jet Rescue Air Ambulance when it crashed at the Northeast Philadelphia Airport around 6:30 p.m. All six people on board were killed in the accident.
The audio recording, which has not been officially released by authorities but was obtained by Fox News Digital, captures the frantic conversation between air traffic controllers and the pilot of the aircraft as they struggled to regain control.
In the recording, an air traffic controller can be heard saying: “We have a lost aircraft… We need you to confirm if you’re aware of your altitude.”
The pilot responds: “We are trying to… we are trying to get some information. It’s not responding right now.”
As the conversation continues, it becomes clear that the plane is experiencing severe difficulties and the crew is struggling to regain control.
“We have a lost aircraft,” the controller repeats, urging the pilot to provide his altitude and heading.
The pilot responds: “I don’t know what’s going on. I’m trying to… we are trying to get some information.”
The audio recording then becomes difficult to decipher due to poor transmission quality and background noise.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has confirmed that there were six people on board the plane, which was headed to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri before it crashed.
