Today’s NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Thursday, February 13th
The day has finally arrived, and so have the clues for today’s NYT Mini Crossword! If you’re anything like me, you’re excited to dive in and solve this puzzle. With that said, let’s get started!
ACROSS
1- “___ the gap!” (advice for solving this puzzle) — MIN
5- Love, in French — AMOUR
7- African mammal with armorlike skin — RHINO
8- Major tech company founded in San Fran, as its name suggests — CISCO
9- “Watch your ___!” (advice for solving this puzzle) — STEP
DOWN
1- Painter Chagall and podcaster Maron — MARCS
2- Dramatic cry during a paintball game — IMHIT
3- Distraction while working at the library, maybe — NOISE
4- Sag — DROOP
6- Tar Heels’ school, for short — UNC
This was a tremendously clever and tricky Mini Crossword! I was really thrown off by 1 Across, which cleverly gives a clue within a clue. The word isn’t actually complete without a final letter in 4 Down, but there’s a gap in the way. Hence, mind the gap and watch your step. I love these little innovative flairs in a puzzle like this.
In any case, it took me quite awhile to figure this out, and some of the others, like 2 Down, were plenty tricky on their own. I spent three minutes on this Mini.
