Gozem Nets $30M to Expand Vehicle Financing, Digital Banking in Francophone Africa
Ride-hailing and logistics company Gozem has secured a whopping $30 million in Series B funding to further its mission of building the super-app for Africa. This significant injection of capital will be used to expand its vehicle financing business, digital banking services, and other offerings across Francophone Africa.
The company’s approach has resonated with investors, as it has attracted a mix of industrial and financial service providers, including SAS Shipping Agencies Services and Al Mada Ventures. “It’s validation because we have investors operating on the ground in the same markets where we operate,” said Gozem CEO, Dana.
Gozem’s core services include ride-hailing, delivery, and logistics, which has allowed it to build a large user base and scale quickly across its markets. The company now boasts nearly 10,000 registered drivers and over a million users who have utilized the platform, with monthly user numbers in the hundreds of thousands.
In addition to its core services, Gozem has been expanding into new areas, including digital ticketing and vehicle financing. Its digital ticketing service has seen significant traction, having processed more than 50,000 tickets in Togo alone for major concerts and events. The company is also offering a digital banking service called Gozem Money, which was acquired from Moneex in 2023.
With this new funding, Gozem plans to accelerate its growth across Francophone Africa, further solidifying its position as a dominant player in the region’s mobility and fintech sectors.
The company expects to triple or quadruple its growth rate in 2025 with this fresh capital injection.
