Binance’s CZ Teases Important Pascal Hardfork That Will Boost BNB Chain
In a recent tweet, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder and CEO of Binance, revealed plans for an important hard fork on the Binance Smart Chain (BNB) network. The hard fork is expected to boost the performance and speed of the BNB chain.
The upcoming event will be known as the Pascal Hardfork, which is scheduled to take place in June. According to CZ, this hard fork aims to improve the security, scalability, and usability of the Binance Smart Chain by reducing block generation times from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds initially and eventually down to 0.75 seconds.
The purpose of these time reductions is to create a faster and more competitive blockchain network that can keep up with the growing demands of decentralized applications (dApps) and other high-performance use cases. CZ emphasized that this hard fork will make BNB Chain even more attractive for developers, traders, and users alike.
It’s essential to note that both Ethereum (ETH) and Cardano (ADA) are also planning significant upgrades in the near future.
