Stablecoins and RWAs Hit Record Highs: $224B & $17B as Crypto Market Declines
The crypto market may be experiencing a decline, but two specific asset classes – stablecoins and real-world assets (RWAs) – are bucking the trend. In an unprecedented move, both have surged to record highs, with a combined value of $241 billion.
Stablecoins, in particular, have reached an astonishing $224 billion market capitalization, representing a whopping 10% growth this year. RWAs, on the other hand, have broken their own records by hitting $17 billion, marking a staggering 17% increase during the same period.
Despite the overall crypto market experiencing a significant 13% decline, these assets have proven incredibly resilient and remain attractive to investors. The high-yield opportunities offered by private credit loans reaching $12 billion at an average 10% APR are largely responsible for this growth.
