Brooks & Dunn’s highly-anticipated concert at Texas Tech University has been rescheduled following a series of unfortunate events on campus.
The country music duo was set to perform at the university’s Lubbock, TX, venue on Friday (May 20). However, due to an explosion and subsequent fires reported in various locations across campus, officials decided to postpone the show until further notice.
According to reports, the incident began with a small explosion near the university’s stadium, which quickly spread to nearby buildings. Authorities were quick to respond, but not before the fires caused significant damage and prompted an evacuation of the area.
In a statement, Texas Tech University officials expressed gratitude for everyone’s safety and understanding in the matter. “We are grateful that no one was injured during this incident, and we appreciate the swift response from our emergency services team,” they said. “As we continue to assess the situation, we will work closely with the venue management to reschedule Brooks & Dunn’s concert at a later date.”
No new date has been announced yet for the performance, but fans are hopeful that it will be rescheduled in the near future.
Brooks & Dunn have not publicly commented on the matter.
