Coinbase to Add New Cryptos, Not Remove Them
Aside from the delistings, Coinbase would be performing new listings. Yesterday, Coinbase announced it will add support for Maple Finance (SYRUP) and Aethir (ATH), both on the Ethereum (ERC-20 token) network. The trading of both crypto assets is expected to begin on or after 9:00 a.m. PT on March 13, 2025, once liquidity conditions are met.
This move comes as Coinbase continues to expand its offerings and cater to a growing user base. Meanwhile, the company has not announced any plans to remove three specific crypto assets, contrary to earlier reports.
In other news, RedStone (RED) is now live on Coinbase and in the Coinbase iOS and Android apps with the experimental label.
Additionally, Coinbase recently registered with India’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), paving the way for it to offer trading services in the nation. The company plans to launch its retail trading platform in India later this year, with further investments and product offerings planned thereafter. This move positions Coinbase alongside exchange rivals Binance, Bybit, and KuCoin, which have already registered with the FIU.
