Silicon Valley’s In-Person Dating Scene Has a Unique Problem: It’s Working Too Well
The tech industry’s notorious workaholic culture has inadvertently created the perfect breeding ground for in-person dating. San Francisco-based entrepreneur and founder of AI-powered matchmaking platform, Hinge, Justin Wolfe, noticed that his app users from Silicon Valley were 30% more likely to go on dates than users from other regions.
Wolfe believes this phenomenon can be attributed to the tech industry’s fast-paced environment, where people are more open to embracing new connections. “It’s a transferable skill,” says AI-powered matchmaking platform founder, Hinge. “I’ve seen a lot of entrepreneurs and engineers use their networking skills to build connections in both personal and professional spheres.”
But what does this mean for the future of dating?
