I also wanted to emphasize the importance of being strategic about exit options. If you want an exit, make sure you understand your buyer’s needs and build a business that will be attractive to them. In my case, I knew when the time was right for me to step away from [solidcore], so I took control by negotiating a deal with Kohlberg & Company.
And lastly, don’t underestimate the power of having a great lawyer! When it comes to deals, make sure you invest in someone who will protect your interests and help you think critically about potential outcomes. In my experience, this investment paid off tenfold.
