Island lands $250M in funding at a $4.8B valuation
Enterprise browser startup Island has just secured a significant investment round, securing $250 million in Series E funding led by Coatue. This impressive raise values the company at an astonishing $4.85 billion, a substantial increase from its previous valuation.
This massive influx of capital comes less than 11 months after Island’s last fundraise, which valued the company at a mere $2.9 billion. The new backers joining the round include Insight Partners, Sequoia, and Canapi Ventures, among others.
Island is an online browser designed specifically for enterprise use cases, focusing on enhanced security features to protect corporate data. Its innovative approach has attracted 450 customers, including notable names like Mattress Firm, Swiss Life, and Fiverr.
