Meek Mill recently responded to claims he was held hostage by a Los Angeles gang in exchange for $50,000.
In a recent interview, the rapper denied the allegations, stating that they are “completely false” and that he has never been involved with any gangs. He also expressed his surprise at how such a baseless rumor could spread so quickly and gain traction.
“I’m still trying to figure out why this is even a thing,” Meek Mill said in the interview. “I’ve never had anything to do with no gang, let alone be held hostage for $50,000. It’s completely false and I don’t know what people are talking about.”
Meek Mill emphasized that he has always been focused on his music career and has never been involved in any illegal activities.
“I’m just a rapper from Philly who happened to make it big,” he said. “I’ve worked hard for everything I have, and I wouldn’t let some petty gang drama ruin my life or put me in harm’s way.”
The rapper also expressed frustration at how easily false information can spread on social media.
“The internet is crazy, man,” Meek Mill said. “It takes one fake news article to set off a whole firestorm and it’s hard to get that fire to go out. But I’m not going to let it ruin my day or take away from the music.”
As of now, there is no evidence supporting these claims against Meek Mill, and it seems that he has successfully put the rumors to rest.
