‘Fortnite’ Leak Says ‘Solo Leveling’ Is Coming,’ Here’s Which Skins
According to a recent leak, Fortnite will be collaborating with the incredibly popular anime series Solo Leveling. The report suggests that two character skins are in the works, and they’re none other than Sung Jin-woo and Cha Hae-In.
It’s no surprise that Jin-woo would be one of the featured characters, given his central role in the show. Cha Hae-In, on the other hand, is still a relatively minor character at this point in the series. However, if the developers were going to include a second female character, she would likely be the first choice.
The leak also mentions that Jin-woo’s shadows could appear as part of this collaboration. This could take many forms, such as an emote, cosmetic, or even a mini-map event where players can engage with them in some capacity. These shadows refer to the undead minions summoned by Jin-woo’s necromancer powers.
Solo Leveling is undeniably one of the most popular anime series out there right now, and it makes sense that Fortnite would want to capitalize on its success. The show itself has a strong video game-like quality, with E-to-S rank heroes, portal dungeons closed by boss fights, and Jin-woo’s unique ability to level up and gain new abilities in a way that mirrors video games.
As a fan of the series, I’m excited about this potential crossover. I would definitely log in to pick up these skins for Fortnite’s growing metaverse, just like I have with other anime crossovers in the past. While it’s unlikely we’ll see more than one round of skins due to Solo Leveling’s focus on a single protagonist, I think this is still an exciting development.
Unfortunately, no release date has been announced, but I would expect this collaboration to drop before the end of the season.
