Eating a healthy diet during middle age can have significant benefits for longevity, according to new research. A study published in the journal BMJ found that certain diets were associated with a lower risk of death from all causes.
The study analyzed data from nearly 120,000 health professionals and found that participants who followed diets that emphasized whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein sources had a significantly lower risk of dying prematurely.
