The new bikes, which will start shipping in June 2025, boast Ampler’s trademark minimalist design blended with everyday practicality. The battery, which provides pedal assist, is entirely hidden within the frame, giving an unassuming appearance that doesn’t scream “I’m an e-bike!” The company claims that this sleek look allows riders to seamlessly blend into their surroundings.
What sets these bikes apart from others in the industry is their ability to be charged via USB-C. This means users can charge their bike using a standard laptop charger or any other device capable of 140W charging. For those who prefer not to purchase an Ampler-specific charger, they can use their own MacBook USB-C chargers, as long as it meets the minimum spec of PD 3.0 and outputs 20V.
Ampler emphasizes the environmental benefits of this innovation, citing the elimination of unnecessary proprietary chargers and reducing electronic waste. Moreover, the company’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its hand-built facility in Estonia, which operates on renewable energy.
The Nova models are designed for city rides, with the standard Nova being geared towards daily commuting, while the Nova Pro offers a greater range, 28-inch wheels, and 10 gears.
