Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Release Date and Price Leak in New Reports

The next Samsung Galaxy S smartphone is the super-slim S25 Edge. But when it is coming has been a mystery. Now, it looks like we have a date: Tuesday, May 13, and possible pricing.
Here are full details of the saga so far.

The S25 Edge, as you may know, is a phone that’s super-slim. The exact measurements aren’t known, but it looks like it will be a rival to the Apple iPhone 17 Air, as it’s nicknamed, which is expected in the fall.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Release Date
First, it was reported that April was the month when it would launch, and further suggestions narrowed it down to some time around April 14 or 15. That suddenly seemed in jeopardy when respected leakers like Ice Universe said that it had been postponed.
“What I want to say is this bad news: the release of Samsung S25 edge has been postponed. It was originally scheduled to be released on the 15th of this month, but now it has been postponed to May or June,” they said on X as recently as Wednesday, April 2.
Just hours later, on Thursday, April 3, SamMobile claimed that the postponement won’t be long:
“According to our sources, the smartphone will now launch on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. This would mean Samsung has only delayed the device by one month,” the report claimed.
It also said that unlike the big Unpacked event in January which launched the S25 Ultra, this would be “a smaller online-only presentation, though this could vary by country. It’s unclear if the phone will also hit retail shelves in the same month,” it says.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Pricing
A report from German site WinFuture has now leaked the pricing for the new phone, saying that it will sit between the S25 and S25 Ultra.
“According to information available to us from the environment of Samsung’s distribution partners, the official recommended retail price for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is currently 1249 euros for the German market. In other countries such as Spain and Italy, the device is set at 10 euros more due to higher VAT and possible other taxes,” it’s claimed.
That’s 100€ more than the S25 and 100€ less than the S25 Ultra. Right in the middle, then. If similar pricing comes to the U.S., that would mean that it would sit slap bang between the Galaxy S25+ at $1,199 and the S25 Ultra at $1,299, in other words: $1,249.
We’ll know more in the coming weeks, it seems.
