Deel’s Head of Communications Elisabeth Diana Leaves Company Amidst Espionage Allegations
Elisabeth Diana, the head of communications at human resources platform Deel, has departed the company, according to her LinkedIn profile. The news comes as a surprise amid allegations of corporate espionage brought forth by competitor Rippling.
Ripple announced a lawsuit against Deel in March, claiming that Deel had planted a spy within its ranks. The legal action also accuses Deel of misappropriating trade secrets and engaging in unfair competition practices. Rippling’s recent release of an affidavit signed by alleged employee Keith O’Brien further supports the allegations.
Deel has refuted the claims, stating that they are “baseless” and an attempt to shift the narrative away from their own alleged violations of Russian sanctions. The company has not provided additional comment since the lawsuit was filed.
As Deel’s head of communications, Diana would have been instrumental in shaping the company’s public response to these allegations. Her departure raises questions about her involvement in addressing the controversy and whether she will continue to be involved with the company in some capacity.
Diana previously worked as a corporate head of communications at Facebook and held a similar role at Instagram.
