Dolph Lundgren, the iconic actor and martial artist best known for his role in the Rocky franchise, is basking in the warmth of Miami’s sunshine with wife Emma Krokdal after a grueling years-long health battle.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital earlier this year, Lundgren opened up about his shocking diagnosis with a rare blood disorder called Castleman disease. He underwent treatment and biopsies, only to be misdiagnosed initially.
“I got all the biopsies,” he recalled. “I got a second opinion from a UCLA doctor, and she went back and looked at all the biopsies, and she said, ‘Well, you know, this is a different mutation than what they said.’ They hadn’t checked it. They just assumed.”
Lundgren received new treatment and medication, which led to significant improvements in his health.
“And then last year, I removed all those tumors,” he proudly shared. “They freeze them out or use radiation. And then, you know, now I’m living a normal life, I would say. Except I gotta go and do a scan every three months. But everything else is kind of back to normal.”
Now that he has overcome his health issues, Lundgren appears to be embracing the good times with Krokdal in Miami.
Their warm winter getaway comes as a welcome respite from the intense health battle he faced earlier.
The couple’s idyllic vacation has sparked rumors about their relationship, and fans are thrilled to see them enjoying life together.
