Universal and Blumhouse’s Wolf Man hit theaters back in January, but it seems the film has decided to make a change of venue – and by “venue”, I mean streaming platform. The film will be available exclusively on Peacock starting this April 18th.
The movie follows a couple who take their daughter to Blake’s (Christopher Abbott) childhood home in Oregon. After an animal attack leaves Blake scratched up, they’re forced to barricade themselves inside the house to survive both the creature outside and Blake’s gradual transformation into something equally dangerous.
It’s been months since Wolf Man premiered in theaters, but its reception has been mixed at best. While some praised the film’s taut thriller elements, others were disappointed by what seemed like odd marketing choices – including a pre-release clip of Blake’s gnarly transformation (which isn’t until pretty late in the film!) and featuring a design for the titular creature during last year’s Halloween Horror Nights.
It seems that whatever the reason may be, Wolf Man will now be streaming on Peacock.
