**NYT ‘Strands’ Today: Hints, Spangram and Answers for Monday, April 7th**
As we kick off the week, it’s time to tackle another puzzle-filled day with **New York Times Strands**. I’m excited to share today’s hints, spangram, and answers with you.
Before diving in, let’s quickly recap what **Strands** is all about. If you’re new here, this game is a twist on classic word search puzzles. Each day, the NYT presents a unique theme, and your mission is to uncover words that fit within a grid, including a spangram that connects two sides of the board.
Today’s hints are a bit different, as I’ll be providing three instead of the usual two. This will help you get started on solving those tricky puzzles!
**Strands Today: Hints and Theme**
The theme for today is **Half-and-half**, with a subtle nod towards mythological creatures, like Minotaur and other similar beings. Your task is to find words related to this concept.
Here are the first two letters of each word:
ME JA SA CE GR HY
Remember, I’ll be providing three hints instead of two to help you overcome any obstacles!
**Today’s Strands Answers**
Now that we’ve got our theme and initial letters out of the way, let’s dive into the main event: today’s answers. The spangram for this puzzle is **HYBRIDCREATURE**, which might give away some crucial information.
Here’s a list of the solved words:
* MERMAN
* JACKALOPE
* SATYR
* CENTAUR
* GRIFFIN
To help you visualize today’s puzzle, I’ve included an image of the completed Strands grid below:
**Today’s Breakdown**
As we wrap up this episode, let me share some insights on how I approached this puzzle. Initially, it was challenging to make sense of the **Half-and-half** theme, but once I stumbled upon CENTAUR, things started falling into place. With this key find, SATYR and HYBRIDCREATURE became more manageable.
To be honest, I struggled until I found those earlier words. JACKALOPE and GRIFFIN were tougher nuts to crack, but the momentum from previous finds carried me through.
How did you fare in today’s puzzle? Feel free to share your experiences or ask for help on **Twitter** and **Facebook**.
