While the show was already greenlit back in January 2025, a recent update has shed light on just how long viewers will have to endure before new episodes drop.
According to an interview with creator Mike White, production is still in its early stages, with location scouting only just beginning. This comes as no surprise, given the notoriously lengthy gaps between seasons for streaming shows. Gone are the days when annual releases were the norm; nowadays, fans can expect to wait anywhere from 1.5 years to three years or more for new content.
Using past data, Forbes estimates that The White Lotus season four may not arrive until as late as April 2027, a staggering two-and-a-half year gap between seasons. While this lengthy hiatus does build anticipation, it comes at a cost. Fans will have to endure an even longer wait before they can get their fix of the show’s unique blend of dark humor and drama.
It’s worth noting that casting information for season three was available as early as two years prior to its release, so while we may not have long to wait for updates on the cast, the actual production process is a different story altogether.
