Title: Tesla Dealers Are Now Refusing Cybertruck Trade-Ins, Sources Report
The Cybertruck has been a source of controversy and disappointment for Tesla since its inception. Despite claims of nearly 2 million preorder reservations, the company’s sales have fallen far short of expectations. According to recent reports, Tesla dealers are now refusing to take in used Cybertrucks as trade-ins or even buy them outright due to their inability to sell these vehicles.
The data reveals that over the past year, transaction prices for Cybertruck have plummeted by an astonishing 55%, and a further 13% decline within the last three months alone. Listings on Carfax show dealers in the Chicago area offering used models at prices ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, with a low of around $76,000 for a base model and as high as $140,000 for a barely driven Cyberbeast version.
In addition to the sales disaster, Tesla is also grappling with multiple recalls and controversies.
