I was Gutted Not to Be Invited to Charles and Camilla’s Royal Wedding – But the Future King Made It Up to Me with an Incredible Act of Kindness
As I sat at home, watching the fairytale wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles on television 20 years ago, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of disappointment. You see, I had been hoping against hope that my invitation would arrive in the post, allowing me to rub shoulders with royalty alongside some of the world’s most influential people.
But alas, it was not meant to be. The rejection letter arrived just days before the big day, leaving me feeling gutted and disappointed.
Fast forward two decades, and I’m still reeling from the shock. Why didn’t I get invited? Was it my questionable taste in fashion? My inability to make small talk with strangers?
But then, something unexpected happened. An act of kindness so incredible, it restored my faith in the future king’s character.
As we now know, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla celebrated their 20th anniversary recently. And while I wasn’t invited to the bash (shocker), I did hear that the royal couple threw a lavish party for close friends and family.
Now, I’m not one to spread rumors, but if what I heard is true… well, let’s just say Prince Charles made up for my missed invitation in a big way.
