Fox News host Steve Doocy has remarked that major Republican donors are “terrified” following President Donald Trump’s recent announcement of increased tariffs against China.
In a statement made during Tuesday’s hearing, Doocy shared his perspective on the sentiment among prominent party donors. He stated that they were extremely anxious about the potential economic consequences of these new policies.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen such anxiety and fear in all my years as a journalist,” Doocy said during the broadcast. “I mean, major GOP donors are terrified.”
Doocy’s statement came as President Trump announced his plans to impose tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports.
