“Captain America: Brave New World’ 4K Blu-ray Details Revealed—Including Hours Of Bonus Features”
Following its successful global cinema run, Disney has announced the details of its home video release for Captain America: Brave New World. The film will be available on 4K Blu-ray, with a standard and steelbook edition set to hit shelves on May 13.
The 4K Blu-ray releases, which include both standard and steelbook versions, will feature a 4K-resolution master of the PG-13 rated film derived from its native 4K digital intermediate cinema master. This means that the disc will be able to take full advantage of any TV or projector capable of playing it.
Both editions will also come with Dolby Vision high dynamic range support, which will default down to an HDR10 core if played on a display without Dolby Vision capabilities. The film and its extras will be stored on a 66GB 4K Blu-ray disc, which is smaller than the usual 100GB capacity used by Disney for some of their Marvel titles.
The release date for both the standard and steelbook 4K Blu-ray editions is set for May 13, following the film’s digital release on April 15.
