DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis says Google will eventually combine its Gemini and Veo AI models
In a recent appearance on the podcast “Possible,” co-hosted by LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis revealed that the company plans to merge its Gemini AI models with its Veo video-generating models in the future. The goal is to enhance Gemini’s understanding of the physical world.
According to Hassabis, Google has always designed Gemini, their foundation model, to be multimodal from the start. This decision was made as part of a vision for creating a universal digital assistant that can genuinely assist users in the real world.
