Inventex Founder, Engineer for Coinbase at 14, Aims to Revolutionize Patent Applications
At just 14 years old, Daniel Ruskin started his journey in the tech world by joining Coinbase as a software engineer. Today, he is the founder of Inventex, a company that aims to revolutionize the process of patent applications.
Ruskin’s impressive start to his career has not slowed down, and he is now focused on making patents more accessible to innovators of all sizes. According to Ruskin, 90% of the billable time for an initial patent filing is spent on drafting a disclosure, with only 10% being spent on strategy.
“We are building a system where drafting will take 10% of the time, and strategy will be the differentiated service provided by firms,” he explained. “This ultimately brings the cost to file a patent down, and makes the system more accessible to innovators of any size.”
Ruskin’s vision for Inventex is not just about making patents more accessible but also to make the process faster. He believes that drafting should take only 10% of the time, with strategy being the focus.
Inventex has been growing rapidly since December, with a growth rate of 2x per month primarily driven by word-of-mouth referrals and partnerships with venture capital firms.
