A 21-year-old soccer player in Peru died Tuesday after a collision with an opponent during a match.
According to reports, the young athlete collided with his opponent during the game and suffered severe injuries. He was immediately taken off the field on a stretcher and later passed away due to complications from his injuries.
The cause of death was revealed as a ruptured artery in his brain, according to Altamirano’s brother.
His father remembered his son as someone who had always dreamed of becoming a great football player from a very young age. The family is said to be devastated by the loss and has expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support.
