Strategy has recently announced the acquisition of a massive 3,459 Bitcoin for approximately $285.8 million, further solidifying its position as the leader in corporate Bitcoin holdings. This new purchase brings Strategy’s total holdings to a staggering 531,644 BTC.
This development comes amidst market turbulence caused by concerns over tariff policies. Despite this uncertainty, Strategy remains committed to its aggressive Bitcoin acquisition strategy, having already seen significant gains from previous purchases.
As previously reported, Strategy has been shifting its focus from software development to becoming a leading treasury firm for Bitcoin. The company’s relentless pursuit of digital assets has been fueled by the removal of the SAB 121 accounting rule, which has made it more feasible for US companies to hold cryptocurrencies.
Strategy’s co-founder and Executive Chairman, Michael Saylor, had previously hinted at the purchase on social media, stating “No tariffs on orange dots,” a reference to how Bitcoin purchases appear on his tracking tool, Saylor Tracker.
