AP Rocky’s grandmother is giving her seal of approval to the rapper’s relationship with Rihanna. The 33-year-old artist, whose real name is Andre Benjamin, has been dating the singer since January and fans have gone wild over their romance.
In an exclusive interview with Billboard, AP Rocky’s grandmother, Shirley Bennett, opened up about her grandson’s new relationship. “I’m glad he settled down,” she said.
“I’ve known Rihanna for years,” she continued. “She’s a wonderful girl. She’s got a lot of love to give and I think they’re a great match.”
The rapper has been open about his desire to settle down, telling us in the past that he wants to have children one day. It seems like his grandmother is on board with the idea.
Rihanna, who gave birth to her first child with A$AP Rocky last year, has also expressed her desire for a larger family.
