As the sun sets on another Coachella, we can’t help but think of all the star-studded relationships that have met their demise under the scorching California desert heat. And yes, you guessed it – we’re talking about some of Hollywood’s most beloved power couples who’ve tragically fallen apart after a wild weekend in Indio.
Take Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, for instance. Those two were once the ultimate ‘it’ couple, with their whirlwind romance captivating the hearts of Twihards worldwide. But alas, their love story was doomed to end in heartbreak – much like many of the festival-goers who’ve partied too hard and ended up face-planting into a sand dune.
As they say, ‘what happens at Coachella stays at Coachella,’ but it seems their romance couldn’t withstand the harsh realities of life outside the festival grounds. Sadly, Kristen and Rob eventually called it quits in 2012 after a highly publicized three-year relationship.
But that’s not all, folks! We also have to mention Selena Gomez and The Weeknd, who were once the epitome of Coachella cool. Their on-again-off-again romance was as fleeting as a desert sandstorm, but their whirlwind love fest in 2017 seemed to have some sort of magical effect on the couple – only to fizzle out by November of that same year.

But after a wild Coachella weekend in 2018, things took an unexpected turn – and we’re not talking about that infamous lip-locking session during the festival!
As it turned out, Justin’s sudden epiphany (or was it just the desert heat?) led him to ditch Hailey and rekindle his flame with Selena Gomez – a love triangle that would give the Kardashians a run for their money! Who knew Coachella vibes could be so… toxic?!
From the moment you step foot into those iconic gates, something in the air seems to whisper ‘it’s all going wrong, folks.’ Maybe it’s the heatstroke-inducing sunsets or perhaps the overpriced Instagram-friendly cocktails – but one thing’s for certain: any chance of a happily-ever-after goes straight down the drain when Coachella’s magic wears off!
