The sudden release of a migration roadmap by Pi Network without providing any timeline for the process has raised concerns among users. The Pi Network Mainnet Migration Roadmap, published on April 18, outlines a three-step plan to transfer Pioneers to the open Mainnet. However, the document fails to provide any start or completion dates, leaving many with uncertainty and frustration.
The first phase of the migration targets users who are already waiting in the queue. This stage will process base mining rewards, Security Circle contributions, locked tokens, utility-app rewards, and confirmed Pi Network Node rewards. The roadmap then moves on to phase two, which will add referral mining rewards tied to KYC-verified users. It’s only after the first group is completed that this phase will commence.
The subsequent phases of migration are set to process remaining rewards in periodic batches, with no fixed schedule provided. This lack of transparency has sparked concerns among Pi Network enthusiasts about the potential for delays or even a halt in the process. The uncertainty surrounding the timeline may lead some users to reevaluate their involvement with the platform.
One user expressed disappointment, stating “I thought we were mining all of these PI coins this whole time? I thought the security circles were the consensus mechanism. It kinda seems like there isn’t a blockchain and never was one.”
The lack of transparency in the Pi Network migration roadmap has also raised concerns about accountability. The absence of any audit or dispute system for missing rewards has left some users feeling helpless, as they are unable to verify their historical balances. This issue may become more pressing should any discrepancies arise during the migration process.
