Pi Network News Today: New DApps, New Momentum: Pi Network Gears Up Ahead of Consensus 2025
The Pi Network has recently witnessed a significant surge in momentum, driven by the approval of a new decentralized app (DApp) called Fruity Pi. This move is being seen as a major step towards progress within the ecosystem, particularly given that it’s happening just weeks ahead of the highly anticipated Consensus 2025 summit.
As part of its efforts to revamp the platform, the Pi Core Team has officially given the green light to Fruity Pi, allowing verified apps like this one to fully launch and grow within the Pi network. The game, where players match fruits to earn rewards, also allows users to link their wallets and spend Pi tokens. This approval is a significant milestone for the community as it paves the way for other pending approvals and delayed KYB (Know Your Business) checks.
For those who may not be familiar with the concept of KYB, it’s an essential requirement that businesses need to fulfill in order to launch their services on the Pi network. With the recent development, it can now be expected that there might be a flurry of other approvals and potentially even major announcements during the Consensus 2025 event.
Despite the recent advancements, the Pi Coin is still facing significant hurdles when it comes to getting listed on prominent exchanges. After HTX was the first to list Pi following its mainnet launch in February, Banxa also removed its support for the token, along with BitMart having paused trading for over a month pending KYB approvals.
Top exchanges like Binance and Coinbase have yet to show any interest in listing Pi Coin.
