Ether Can’t Follow XRP’s Playbook, Solana Co-Founder Argues
In a recent statement, Anatoly Yakovenko, the co-founder of Solana, has expressed his opinion on the possibility of Ethereum (ETH) following the playbook of Ripple’s XRP. According to him, it is “very unlikely” for this to happen.
Yakovenko stated that if you can’t model why XRP or Bitcoin have value, then you can’t engineer it and therefore can’t compete with them. He was responding to recent discussions about whether Ethereum could follow a similar path taken by XRP, which has seen significant growth in recent times.
The Solana co-founder’s statement is noteworthy given his background in the industry and his experience in building successful blockchain-based projects. His views are likely to be influential among investors and other stakeholders in the space.
It remains to be seen whether Ethereum will indeed follow a similar path or carve out its own unique approach.
