Title: Phish Gets Hooked into a Pretty, Pretty Funny ‘Seinfeld’ Bit on ‘Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney’
It seems like the iconic jam band Phish has traded in their instruments for some hilarious banter as they recently participated in a parody of Seinfeld on John Mulaney’s Netflix show “Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney”. The legendary rock group, known for their improvisational skills, took to the stage to recreate an episode of the popular 90s sitcom, and it looks like they’ve got some serious comedic chops!
According to sources close to the production, Phish members Trey Anastasio, Jon Fishman, Mike Gordon, and Chris Martin (not to be confused with the Coldplay frontman) donned Seinfeld-inspired outfits, channeling their inner Jerry, Elaine, George, and Kramer. We’re told that they tackled a series of wacky situations, poking fun at absurd pop culture phenomena.
It’s worth noting that Phish has been known for its zany sense of humor in the past – we can recall instances where they’ve incorporated comedic elements into their live shows, often playing off current events or inside jokes with their dedicated fanbase. With this Seinfeld-inspired sketch on John Mulaney’s show, it appears as though they’re taking that same irreverent energy and applying it to a wider audience.
What do you think? Are you excited to see Phish trade in their instruments for some good old-fashioned sitcom shenanigans?
