Sammy Hagar Talks Vegas Residency, “Encore, Thank You, Goodnight” Inspo & More | Stagecoach 2025
Legendary rocker Sammy Hagar has been announced as one of the performers at Stagecoach 2025, and in a candid conversation with Billboard’s Tetris Kelly, he opened up about his highly-anticipated Vegas residency.
“I’m so excited to bring this show to Las Vegas,” Hagar said. “I’ve got an amazing band and some incredible guests lined up. It’s going to be a wild ride, and I think the fans are really going to enjoy it.”
When asked about the inspiration behind his upcoming residency, Hagar revealed that he drew from his own experiences as well as some unexpected sources.
“I was actually watching this documentary on the history of Las Vegas, and it got me thinking,” he explained. “I realized that there’s so much more to the city than just the Strip. There are stories to be told, music to be played… and I want to tell those stories.”
Hagar also dished about his upcoming album.
“I’m really proud of what we’ve put together,” he said. “It’s a little bit different from my usual style, but I think it will surprise people. We’re talking experimental sounds, some new musical directions… it’s going to be a game-changer.”
The Red Rocker also spoke about his bandmates, and the camaraderie that comes with sharing a stage.
“The energy between us is electric,” he said of his fellow performers. “We feed off each other’s passion and creativity. It’s an incredible feeling, knowing we’re all in this together.”
And when asked what advice he would give to up-and-coming artists, Hagar had some words of wisdom: “Just be yourself. Don’t try to imitate someone else. The moment you start trying to copy another artist is the moment you lose your edge and your fans will catch on. Stay true to yourself and always push the boundaries.”
Finally, when asked about his favorite memories from past performances, Hagar reminisced about a particularly unforgettable show.
“You know what I’ll never forget? That time we played at Red Rocks Amphitheatre… it was just incredible. The atmosphere was palpable, and the fans were completely absorbed in the music. It’s moments like those that remind me why I do this.”
When not rocking out with his bandmates or creating new music, Hagar will be taking a well-deserved break to enjoy the festivities at Stagecoach 2025.
“I’m just looking forward to getting up on stage and performing for these incredible fans,” he concluded. “It’s going to be an unforgettable night, and I wouldn’t want to miss it for anything.”
