Coinbase to Delist Five Tokens Amid Token Upgrades – See If You’re Holding Any!
Coinbase has announced that it will suspend trading for five tokens, including Galxe (GAL), Litentry (LIT), Mines of Dalarnia (DAR), Orion Protocol (ORN), and PARSIQ (PRQ). This decision is not due to poor performance or security issues, but rather because the original versions of these tokens no longer meet Coinbase’s listing standards.
According to Coinbase, each project has released new versions of their tokens, which means that the old ones are now considered outdated. As a result, Coinbase will remove them from trading effective May 16, 2025, at around 2 PM ET across all platforms, including Coinbase.com, Coinbase Exchange, and Coinbase Prime.
In anticipation of this change, Coinbase has already moved all five token pairs to limit-only mode. This means that users can still place or cancel limit orders and trades may occur, but market orders or advanced trading types are currently not supported.
What does this mean for users holding these tokens? Those who have holdings of these tokens should take immediate action. The platform recommends withdrawing your assets or converting them before May 16. Once the suspension takes effect, you will no longer be able to trade them on Coinbase.
It’s essential that you review your portfolio and make necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth transition for your cryptocurrency investments.
