Resident Evil Requiem announced at Summer Game Fest 2025
Capcom has officially announced Resident Evil Requiem, the next chapter in the survival horror series. The game was revealed as part of the Summer Game Fest Live event, kicking off a week-long series of gaming announcements and release dates.
The teaser trailer for Resident Evil Requiem intercut scenes from previous games in the series, hinting at familiar locations such as Raccoon City and its ruined police department. The trailer raised more questions than answers, but it appears that the game will follow the character of Grace Ashcroft, who must uncover grim mysteries and then gets kidnapped. It’s also revealed that she is the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, a Resident Evil character who has not been seen before.
Capcom has confirmed that Koshi Nakanishi, a veteran director, will lead the development of Resident Evil Requiem. He has previously worked on other titles in the series, including Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
Resident Evil Requiem is set to launch on February 27, 2026, with a playable demo available in August at Gamescom.
