Critical Deadline for Ripple (XRP) Holders Revealed
Ripple (XRP) holders are now facing a new critical deadline as the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has asked the court to hold appeals in abeyance. According to recent updates, the SEC will be required to file a status report by August 15th, 2025.
The development comes after the SEC submitted a motion earlier this month regarding the ongoing lawsuit against Ripple Labs. The parties involved have reached an agreement on the fine that Ripple has to pay, but it appears that there may be more hurdles before the case can reach its conclusion.
As per the latest report, the court is yet to rule on the request for a 2-month delay. In the meantime, XRP’s price action has been noteworthy, with the cryptocurrency trading at around $2.24 and experiencing an increase of 2.4% in the last day. The asset reached an intraday high of almost $2.34 before retreating.
The broader cryptocurrency market remains uncertain amid ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran, as participants continue to await the stance of global military powers such as the US, China, Russia, and others.
In light of this new development, it is essential for XRP holders to closely follow any updates regarding the lawsuit.
