Xbox and Microsoft’s Game Pass is off to a hot start in 2025, with a plethora of exciting titles joining the service throughout the month. The latest addition is none other than FBC: Firebreak, a highly-anticipated co-operative first-person shooter developed by renowned studio Remedy Entertainment.
In May, Engadget’s Jessica Conditt got hands-on with FBC: Firebreak and expressed tentative optimism about the game’s potential to deliver on its genre-defying promise. As a developer known for crafting immersive single-player experiences in Alan Wake and Control, it’s impressive to see Remedy venture into the realm of cooperative gaming.
FBC: Firebreak is now available as part of Xbox Game Pass, along with PlayStation Plus subscribers also getting access to the title as a day one release on both platforms. With its unique blend of co-op gameplay and fast-paced action, this could be the perfect opportunity for players to try something new and exciting.
June’s additions don’t stop there, however. On June 19th, we can expect Sloclap’s innovative take on soccer, Rematch, to drop onto Game Pass. This unorthodox spin on the sport abandons traditional simulation elements in favor of a more arcade-like experience. Matches feature 5v5 teams with players only controlling one member at a time, eliminating the need for offside and foul rules. The visually striking game boasts an almost impressionist aesthetic, courtesy of Sloclap’s creative vision.
Later this month, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also gain access to remastered versions of Warcraft I and II on June 26th, followed by Call of Duty: WWII on June 30th. Meanwhile, the service will be bolstered with Little Nightmares II and Rise of the Tomb Raider in July.
