Bruno Mars Can’t Wait for Fans to Play With His ‘Tall, Chiseled’ Avatar as Fortnite Festival Season 9 Icon
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Bruno Mars is thrilled to announce his partnership with the popular battle royale game, Fortnite, as its Season 9 headliner. As part of this collaboration, Mars will be transformed into a playable avatar that fans can use in-game.
In an exclusive interview with Billboard, Mars couldn’t contain his excitement about his new digital persona. “They really nailed my body proportions,” he jokes, referring to the game developers’ work on his virtual representation. “It’s very fun seeing myself as an avatar. It’s uncanny.”
As a part of his partnership, Mars will be featured in the Fortnite Festival, where fans can experience a unique gaming experience. He will perform some of his biggest hits, including his chart-topping collaboration with Lady Gaga, “Die With a Smile,” and his duet with ROSÉ, “APT.”
It’s worth noting that this is not Mars’ first time working with Fortnite. He previously collaborated with the game in 2022, alongside Anderson .Paak as part of their Silk Sonic project.
Mars emphasized his enthusiasm for the new partnership, stating that he is excited to bring his music into the world of gaming and allow fans to play with him. “When they hit me up again, I said, ‘Done!’” he recalled about being approached for this collaboration.
The Bruno Mars avatar will be available in-game starting now, allowing fans to get their hands on it immediately.
