Title: The Cast of 28 Days Later Has Gone Missing… or Have They?
As I walk into the theater to watch the new film “28 Years Later”, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Ralph Fiennes, I can’t help but wonder what has happened to the original cast of Danny Boyle’s groundbreaking zombie movie. It seems like a lifetime ago when Cillian Murphy, Naomie Harris, and Christopher Eccleston took on the roles that catapulted them to stardom.
Since then, some of these talented individuals have continued to excel in their careers, making unforgettable appearances in various films and TV shows. Cillian Murphy, for instance, has gone on to play the lead in critically acclaimed HBO series “Peaky Blinders” alongside Tom Hardy, not to mention his roles in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Dunkirk.
But where are the others? Have they disappeared into thin air or have I simply missed something?
As I delve deeper into their post-28 Days Later careers, it becomes clear that only a few of them have managed to maintain any semblance of stardom. Naomie Harris has continued to work in film and television, appearing alongside the likes of Ryan Gosling in Blade Runner 2049.
On the other hand, Christopher Eccleston’s career took an unexpected turn after his role as the Ninth Doctor in the BBC series “Doctor Who”. He went on to star in various theater productions and radio dramas.
